Virtuoso Recorder Seminar July 16-23, 2017 The Virtuoso Recorder Seminar is a multi-track, auditioned program for serious young recorder players, from high-school students through college and conservatory players and those just starting a career. Small classes give close contact between students and faculty and provide the opportunity for rapid and intensive learning. Components include masterclass, technique, ensembles and special topics, plus opportunities to play Renaissance music on a matched consort of recorders. This is an ideal program for recorder players on their way to a career in music, as well as for those who just want to deepen their skills while meeting others who share their interest and enthusiasm. Directed by Gwyn Roberts, with Annette Bauer, Tom Beets, Letitia, Alison Melville, Bart Spanhove, and Nina Stern. Concert on Saturday, July 22.
Baroque Academy July 9-16, 2017 An auditioned program for the pre-professional and professional musician focusing on the skills of high-level interpretation of Baroque music. It is open to recorder players as well as violin, viola, cello, viola da gamba, flute, oboe, bassoon, harpsichord and voice. Students work with well-known Baroque performers from the US and Europe. The bonds forged among students in this program can form the basis for lasting musical collaborations in future professional life. Directed by Saskia Coolen, with Han Tol, and others. Concert on Saturday, July 15.
Recorder Boot Camp July 9-16, 2017 An auditioned program for serious and accomplished adult players who wish to make significant technical progress in a short period of time. Limited to 8 students, participants work intensively with our stellar faculty to hone skills and gain musical expertise. Directed by Heloise Degrugillier, with Tom Beets, Letitia Berlin, and Han Tol. Concert on Saturday, July 15.

You will need to submit:
1. $30 registration fee
2. Your resume or a brief description (one or two paragraphs) summarizing your musical background and experience, including formal and informal training and education.
3. 10-15 minutes of music showing your technique, expression, and understanding of baroque style. The piece need not be accompanied. For 2017, please include a selection from an English or Spanish composer if possible. Please include composer and title information with your submission.
