This program offers accomplished string players the opportunity to expand their abilities and knowledge of Baroque music and early string techniques and styles. Open to modern players new to Baroque, and to players with some experience. Repertoire to include Bach and Handel. Resume due date: May 15.
Four class periods per day, with a performance Friday, July 17.
I:Baroque String techniques / performance practice
II:Baroque Orchestra focusing on the 18th Century repertoire
III:String Band with an overview of the 17th century repertoire
